Should I consolidate federal student loans?
Here's the thing. I do not even think about this exception: SUCKS economy and our working hours short to work. I have approximately $ 65,000.00 for federal student loans (some some subsidized and unsubsidized), including Perkins, Parent PLUS, PLUS Federal and Stafford. My total payments over $ 900 a month and honestly I want to reduce this down for some more cushion to get through difficult times. I'm nervous that if I lose more hours at work that I'm having trouble to pay my loans every month. I realize that I need a consolidation without overpayment and no prepayment penalties off (I'd rather pay this loan ASAP so I do not drag it to 30 years). Suggestions? Also, should I go through the Department of Ed for Consolidation or watch some institutes Proprietary
