Debt Consolidation Loan Information

Student loan consolidation?

Hey guys .. I have private student loans and federal college. Currently, I have a time part-time job, and I am fully able to pay my federal loans (and I put about $ 25 more each month on it to get rid them just a tad bit faster), but my private loans have interest rates fairly terrible, and are relatively high. Currently, I plan forbearance on the private loans, but will make a payment of 50% each month and yield about ~ 25% in the bank (if I can .. I know that some months I can not do). So, many lenders are not willing to consolidate because of the current economy – but it would be so helpful to me, and perhaps let me make payments every month, with no abstentions. Any advice or information?
